HEHOTTC USB Condenser Microphone With Live Monitoring | Best Budget Studio Microphone [Review]

In today's episode, we're taking a closer look at the HEHOTTC USB Condenser Microphone. You can use this for content creation, live streaming, chatting with friends online on Zoom, or doing other sorts of conferences and stuff like that with this microphone. The benefit of having a microphone is that it obviously enhances your audio capabilities and just makes you sound a lot more direct and clear when you're talking to other people.

Right now, what we're going to do is move over to the unboxing portion of this video.

The overall packaging is very simple. There are a few specifications and text on the side of the box, which we are going to take a closer look at. On the front of the box, it just says Condenser Desk Microphone, and that's it for the specifications. Let's proceed with the unboxing. Inside, we have a warranty card and a user manual. Obviously, this user manual gives us specific details on how to set it up. Let's take a look at the contents that are included. Inside a compartment, there is the HEHOTTC USB Condenser Microphone itself, and inside the side of the box, we have the stand that they included for this microphone system. It looks like they included some cables as well. We have a USB-A to USB-C cable, which is really nice.

There is also a USB-C to USB-C cable, so you have two different options of connecting this to your laptop or device that you're using to capture your audio. There is one more thing, and it's like a ring-like type of screw. Let's take a look at the HEHOTTC USB Condenser Microphone. On the microphone, we have our volume control for the microphone level. We also have a volume control for our headphone monitoring because you can monitor the audio that you're capturing in real-time. It does have some weight to it, and it also feels really good to the touch. Let's proceed to the testing and demonstration portion of the video where we hook up this microphone, do some audio tests, and see how this microphone performs.

Why don't we get started with connecting the HEHOTTC USB Condenser Microphone to the stand? The way to set this up is you're supposed to attach the microphone to the stand. There's a little screwy thing that's used to lock the mic in place. You take the little ring and slide it in. You just screw it in until it tightens up. We now have the microphone attached to the stand. Honestly, it doesn't look bad at all. I really like the look of this microphone so far. It's not too bad at all.

I'm just going to set it down and have a mic off to the side just capturing my audio. They also included a windscreen as I mentioned. All you got to do is slide it onto the top of the mic. You can use the windscreen with this microphone, but it is optional if you don't want to use it. Let me plug one end of the cable into the laptop, and I'm going to plug the other end into the bottom of the mic. Right now, it's setting up on my laptop. What I'm going to do now is open up Audacity, and we're going to test out the HEHOTTC USB Condenser Microphone.

I decided to utilize headphones with the HEHOTTC USB Condenser Microphone. What I'm going to do is plug the headphone into the microphone, so I can monitor the audio in real-time. Amazing, I can hear myself right now. That's really cool. What I'm going to do now is click the record button, and from here on out, I will be hearing audio coming from this microphone. Right now, I can hear the audio coming from this microphone system. Since I'm wearing headphones with this microphone, I can hear myself. I can hear how the microphone is performing on-demand, and from what I hear so far, it doesn't do a bad job.

It captures my voice directly, even though I'm a distance away from the microphone. It's doing a really good job of capturing my voice. I'm going to get a little bit closer and personal with this microphone. It is capturing a lot of basses. It's also doing a good job with my mids, but let me get a little bit closer. I'm going to put the windscreen on to eliminate the additional sounds that it is picking up. Alright, let me see how it performs now. I can still hear it. It does a decent job of eliminating it, but I can still hear it. Just try not to blow into the microphone or press your lips together too often.

Overall, the sound quality is really good, and I love the monitoring feature because I'm able to hear what this microphone is capturing on-demand. Even though most of the time, I would have to record the audio and then go back and listen to the audio, with this microphone system, that's not necessary. I can listen to myself on-demand and on the spot without having to do any editing or post-production listening. Overall, the HEHOTTC USB Condenser Microphone sounds really good.

You can use this for streaming purposes. You can use it for Zoom conferences or meetings, and if you want to, you can also use it for playing games or for making content like what I'm doing right now. Overall, I'm really impressed. You also have the ability to decrease your audio level, so if you wanted to, you can mute yourself. I'm going to turn it down all the way, and now let me increase it back. It shouldn't have captured me saying anything just a moment ago because I muted myself on the microphone by turning down the recording level all the way. We're now going to move over to the final opinions and remarks to end this video.

Here are my final opinions and remarks about the HEHOTTC USB Condenser Microphone. It did a fantastic job, and I love the ability to hear myself on-demand. That is probably what sets this microphone apart from the others on the market because just being able to listen to yourself, as you're recording your audio, can make a big difference. You don't have to record the sample or your recording and then go back and listen to that. You can listen to it as you're recording, which is a benefit, especially when you don't have a lot of time for listening back to your own audio.
