Let's move over to the unboxing portion of this video.
The overall packaging of the SD-S28 is fairly simple. On the front of the box, it just says SHIDU, which is the company's name, and it says Original Voice Amplifier. There are a few specifications also like a visual representation of the voice amplifier itself. We have a features list, technical parameters, and application uses on one side. Let's proceed with the unboxing.
We have the SD-S28 itself. It has a very nice and glossy finish to it, and it looks really nice and presentable. Overall, I do like the overall build and design that comes with it. It makes it look really sleek and very stylish.
We do get a USB-A cable to AC/DC cable, a strap for convenience, a charging brick for the AC/DC plug, a USB-A to micro USB cable, an AUX cable for connecting to media devices, and an operation manual. The manual is beneficial for those who are not familiar with this type of device. Lastly, we have our microphone, and this is like a headset microphone that you can put onto your head and use as a traditional microphone to use with the SD-S28. Let's move over to the testing and demonstration portion of this video.
Before we get on with testing out the SD-S28, let's discuss all the ports and capabilities that the system has to offer. From the looks of it, the speaker is located on the top, and it is 25 watts. On the left side, we have our USB Port and TF card slot. On the right side, we have our mic port, auxiliary port, and DC 8V port. In order to power on the device, there is a knob at the front that turns on the PA system and increases the volume as well. Also at the front, we have an Echo knob. If you want to add an Echo effect when you talk, this will be the knob for that.
I now have the SD-S28 turned on. The other buttons at the front are used to control the playback of the media stored on the flash drive or TF card that you can connect through the ports. You can record your audio coming from the microphone to those storage devices, and then control them using the buttons. That's really nice that they have a record functionality as well. Besides that record button, the other buttons are previous track, forward track, play, pause, and mode.
There are a lot of things that you can do with the SD-S28. Let's test out the microphone first, and try out the different audio sources by playing some music. There is an on/off switch on the microphone, so we need to turn that on first. Before using the PA system, please make sure to adjust the settings to get the best results. Overall, it doesn't sound too bad. The volume controls on the microphone are on the right side. The good thing about this PA system is that you can attach another microphone through the mic port if you don't want to use the headset microphone that they provided.
Also, another great thing about the SD-S28 is that you can have music playing in the background as you are talking. Let me switch it to Bluetooth mode by clicking on the mode (M) button. I'm going to increase the volume of the microphone to amplify my voice. We're playing music right now, and it's pretty loud. I turned down the music a little bit, and I'm getting feedback because I'm a little bit too close to the speaker. That's about max volume right now. Overall, the quality that's coming out of this voice amplifier is pretty impressive. If you want to use this to get a lot of people's attention at once, you can easily utilize this mini portable PA system.
The sound quality isn't too bad. You can have music playing in the background as you speak, and it's pretty decent. You guys get the point. There's also an Echo feature, but I don't know how many of you guys are going to make use of that effect, so I don't know how useful it is. My voice is currently echoing, so it's really nice. If you want to use that feature, you do have that. As for me, I don't really have a use for it. You guys might not have one, but there is that feature on this voice amplifier for those who may need to use an Echo effect. With that, we're going to conclude our testing of the SD-S28 and move over to the final opinions and remarks to end this video.
Here are my final opinions and remarks about the SD-S28 from the company SHIDU. It's a fantastic product. It has a lot of features that a lot of you guys can make use of with the music playback, the voice, you talking with the microphone, with you playing the music, all these different buttons. There are a lot of things that you can do with this voice amplifier, and the good thing about it is, it's rechargeable. I can easily take this on-the-go, and not have to plug this into a power source at all times. I can easily recharge it and use it at any given moment. There are a lot of good features that this PA system has to offer and bring to the table.
