The first thing I noticed is that the box is massive. There are a few specifications and details on the side. It just says "iVlog4 Smartphone Video Kit" and there's a picture of the product as well. There is something that I want to mention before we open it up. On the back, it says "Movo, Creators Wanted," and it tells you about what's included in the box. Let's proceed with the unboxing of the Movo iVlog4.
We're instantly greeted with some sort of booklet. I'm pretty sure this booklet just explains to you all the necessary steps that you need to take to get this up and running. The Movo iVlog4 comes in a nice little black casing. Let's start off with the LED light that they included. This LED light has a lot of different features to it. It's a 20,000-milliamp LED light. You can decrease or increase your brightness, and you can also charge it with a USB-C cable. We have a wide-angle lens. We have some AUX cables. We have a microphone receiver and transmitter as well. You do need to put batteries into it. There's on and off on the side. We have our headphone jack and also our line-out port for the receiver. For the transmitter, we have our mic input and our line in. That's where we plug the microphone into.
We also get a USB-C charging cable for the LED light of the Movo iVlog4. Next up, let's take a look at the tripod. This tripod is very stable. It's very durable. It's made out of metal and has nice grips on the side. You can even rotate it. It has that 360-degree panorama feature. You can even rotate the ball head. The cage is made out of solid metal, so do keep in mind that this is going to last for a very long time. The good thing about this cage though is that it has a bunch of threaded bases throughout the cage. You can attach multiple things from lights to microphones, to a bunch of different camera accessories that you may have laying around. We also have a phone holder. This is what we need to use to attach our phone, and what I like about it is that it's really robust. You can rotate it to landscape mode or portrait mode. They even included some leveling tool, so that you can see if you're leveled on the ground with this tripod.
Next up in the Movo iVlog4 bag is our microphone. There's a 3.5mm audio jack with the microphone on the other side. Then, we also have a remote shuttle, and I believe it is used for taking pictures. Instead of you having to go over to your phone to take pictures, you can use the remote. The last thing remaining on the right side of the bag is a tripod extender. If you use this, you can extend the tripod and make it a lot taller. Inside the compartment on the lid, there's a bag that contains our windscreens and microphone clips that we can use to clip the phone onto something. We also have the adapter that we can use to hook up onto the microphones, so we can attach it onto the cage. The last few remaining things inside the packaging include our product service card, and then we also get a microfiber cloth. Let's move over to the testing and demo part of the video.
There are a lot of things included with the package of the Movo iVlog4. What I'm going to do now is I'm going to take the cage, attach it onto our tripod, rotate it a few times, and it should lock up in place. Next, we take our phone clip and also attach that to the tripod. You just need to screw it in a few times until it becomes very tight. We now have our cage attached to the tripod, and we also have our phone holder attached. Now, I can take my phone and attach it to the phone clip. You just need to loosen it up, slide your phone in, and tighten it again so that the phone doesn't fall off. Let's go and attach our LED light. I'll just put it in and tighten it. Now, we have our LED light attached. Let's test this outside. We'll test out our microphone capabilities. We'll test out the handheld capabilities of this, and we'll do a few different shots with me just vlogging.
Let's do a quick test of the Movo iVlog4 Smartphone Video Rig. I'm going to start recording on my phone. I mounted the lavalier microphone to the DSLR camera and clipped the microphone system to my pants. We have a few things connected to the rig. Let's walk around with this. It's a very nice setup. You can use this for vlogging purposes. I can turn this towards me and start vlogging if I wanted to.
I just attached the wide-angle lens to this camera, so now I'm able to capture a larger area with the Movo iVlog4. It's really nice that they included this wide-angle lens because I know with the new iPhones, Samsung, and stuff, they have a dedicated wide-angle lens, but if you have a phone that doesn't, you can use this to get a wider view. This makes for a really good vlogging kit because it's able to capture everything. It's very wide, and you can capture a lot of area with this lens, so that's what I like about this wide-angle lens. I think you guys get the point. All the audio that is being captured here is from the mobile smartphone rig. The audio is really good. Hopefully, it didn't break out or anything. If you want to use this for content creation on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc., this is definitely a good rig to get your foot in the door. Let's move on to the final opinions and remarks to end this video.
Here are my final opinions and remarks about the Movo iVlog4. Well, this is a fantastic product for any creator who's trying to get into the creative scene. This is a very versatile product, and I love how there are so many addons that you can attach to the cage.
