What's up, guys? If you're new here, I'm Mauricio, and I post videos about filmmaking, photography, tutorials, and I've been posting my edits in here, so make sure to like the video. I'm going to be comparing the Godox SL-60W with the Viltrox 150-W. Which continuous light is right for you? I'm going to be discussing that right now, so stay tuned.

I'm going to be breaking it down into five sections: the build structure, the features, quality, quantity, and the conclusion meaning which light is right for you and why. Depending on your skill level, where you are at your career, and budget, it will determine what light I will recommend for you.

Number one, it's what's included. The Godox SL-60W comes at about $139 (prices may change), and what you get is the light itself, a remote control, the cable, and a cleaning kit.

For the Viltrox 150-W, you get the light, a standard reflector, a remote control, the cables, the adapter, and a carrying bag, which is pretty cool. When I ordered this, it came out organized in its bag, so I was already set to go right away.

Build Structure

Coming in at number two is the build structure. The Viltrox 150-W has an aluminum body, while the Godox SL-60W has more of a plastic body. Both feel great and looks high quality, but I think the Viltrox wins on this one for having more of a durable feel to it.

Features

Coming in at number three are the features. The Viltrox 150-W definitely shines in this section. The Viltrox is bi-colored, so you have a warm look at 2500 Kelvin and up to a cool look up to 8500 Kelvin. You can control the dimmable light and temperature from the adapter where the wheel control, by the way, is super smooth.

You can control it from the remote itself, but here's the best part. You can also control it from your phone. Yeah, there's an app you can download that gives you have full control from your phone. This is my first ever light being able to control it from my phone. It's pretty cool.

As for the Godox SL-60W, I'm not trying to make it look bad, but you get what you pay for. Not only can you control it from the light itself, but you can also control it from the remote control, and that's pretty much it. Also, it's not bi-color, so you can only produce one color balance. I don't even know what color balance it is. I'm guessing that it's maybe around 5200 Kelvin because it is closer to the warmer side.

Quality & Quantity

Coming in at number four is what I call the two Qs, which are quality and quantity. The quality of these two lights are amazing. I have no complaints about that. My only complaint about the Godox SL-60W is that it's not bi-color, which I already mentioned, and the light does have a bit of a yellow tint to it, like a 4800 Kelvin color balance, but honestly, it's not really a big deal. I can just adjust my UNCLEAR on my camera. As for the Viltrox 150-W, you can change the color balance, and you can get that exact look that you want.

As for the quantity or the brightness of the light, the Viltrox definitely wins on this category. Comparing the Godox SL-60W at 100% vs. the Viltrox 150-W at 100%, there is a big difference. The Viltrox literally can light up an entirely dark place.

Lastly, at #5, is the conclusion. Which light is best for you? Well, if you're on a budget and you want something that's super easy to set up and don't mind not having that ability to change the color balance, then I would go with the Godox SL-60W. On the other hand, if you got some extra cash to spend and you want more features, then I will go with the Viltrox 150-W. Ultimately, you'll be able to create high quality content with either one of them. Well, that is pretty much it. If you got any value out of this video, make sure to like and subscribe. I'm out.
