Samsung Wireless Charger Trio, let's talk about this thing.

Inside the box, you get the actual charging pad. You'll get a 25-watt charger and a USB-C to USB-C cable. All of this for a retail price of about $90 (prices may change), sale price for $70 (prices may change), which is what you're going to find it for. Most places all have it for $70 (prices may change) right now, so that's probably what you're going to find it for. But let's talk about it.

So this thing, how is it? It's pretty good, actually. It's convenient. It's not great. It's just convenient, so let me explain. The actual pad can take up to three devices at the same time. It can charge all three devices. That's why it's called the Trio. You can charge two wireless charging compatible devices on the actual main pad, and then a Samsung watch on the Watch Pad. Let's discuss the big pad first.

The big pad, there are these little dots on the pad itself where it'll tell you, I think, that's where the coils are at, so you can line them up if you want to. But with the phone, chances are you're not going to miss a coil, so you can just place the phone wherever you want on the pad or however you want on the pad and then start charging. Now, if you want to charge two devices on the pad, be a little mindful of where you place devices. If you want to charge two devices, I recommend you just place one on the left and one on the right because if you place, say, your phone in the middle, I don't think you can charge your device on either side, like on the left or right.

So, for example, a pair of buds. I would place a phone in the middle of the Samsung Wireless Charger Trio. I would try to place my earbuds on the right hand side or left hand side with a little space that it leaves. It fits, but it doesn't charge it, and I think it's because it detects that the middle one is being used, and so it doesn't want to use up a coil that's next to it that's maybe too close to it. But if you put one on the left and then one on the right, there's a space in between the two devices, so there's no overlap of the coils maybe. I'm not entirely sure how it's built on the inside. That's my guess, but that's something to note that you can't place something in the middle and then try to charge something else that's smaller on the sides.

I also, out of curiosity, try to charge three different things at the same time on the Samsung Wireless Charger Trio, like three pairs of buds, and it didn't work. But it was just out of curiosity. That's one thing to know. Also to note, be mindful when you place something small, so if you're placing a pair of buds, make sure you try to align it with the dots on the pad because you might miss the coil because of how small the device is. It's easy to miss where the coils are at versus the phone, that's pretty big. You just pop that on and chances are you won't miss the pad or miss the coil versus the Galaxy Bud. It's tiny and chances are there's a chance that you might miss it, especially in the dark.

There was a time I was trying to go to bed and I was going to place my buds to charge overnight. The Samsung Wireless Charger Trio tells you also when they're charging, which we'll get to in a second, but it wouldn't tell me that it's charging. I was like, what the hell? So I had to keep shifting around, trying to find a perfect position, and at the end, I had to turn the lights on to perfectly align because it wouldn't align, which was annoying, but that's something to know that you have to be a little precise when using smaller devices versus to charge a phone. Just plop it on. It will be just fine. Speeds, as far as charging, this thing is capable up to 9 watts of charging, which isn't super fast.

I know the S21 Ultra is capable of 15 watts charging at least I think. That's pretty fast in my opinion. That's almost the same as cable charging. I think that's regular 15 watts fast charging, 15 watts and now you can do it wirelessly. This charger is not capable of it. I thought it was because of the 25 watt charger. It's not. It's just the actual charging pad. I think that's how it's built. I think out of safety maybe because you don't want to charge too many devices at super-fast speeds because otherwise, it might overheat. But yeah, I tried using a 45-watt charger.

I got the exact same charging speeds so many times on both a 25-watt and a 45-watt for my phone, so my guess is it just doesn't matter what the actual brick speed is. It just won't do it. But yeah, like I mentioned earlier, there's these little lighting pads that will let you know when something is charging, so red means it's charging and green means it's fully charged. Yeah, so that's the actual main pad that can do up to two devices at the same time. Now, the actual watch pad. This is where we have some issues, and not because they won't charge, but because of the compatibility. If I'm not mistaken, you can correct me if I'm wrong, but you can only charge three particular devices on the Samsung Wireless Charger Trio, I think. I'm not entirely sure.

The Galaxy Watch Active 1, Galaxy Watch Active 2, and then the Galaxy Watch 3. Those that I'm aware of all work perfectly fine on the Samsung Wireless Charger Trio. But if you have the Galaxy Watch, the Gear S3, or anything older, it will not work. That I know for sure. But the ones I don't know if it doesn't work, it's like the Apple Watch and any other smartwatch. I don't know if those will work on here. Maybe someone can tell you in the comments or there's a video out there that can tell you, but I can't say for those.

I know the other ones that I mentioned, anything older or a Galaxy Watch that's older will not work, which is a big bummer because there's a lot of people still out there using those watches. This kind of defeats the purpose of getting the Samsung Wireless Charger Trio to take advantage of all this, but you can't because you have an older device. If you have an older device, unfortunately, you can't use this pad with it, which sucks because it's a convenient pad. Besides that, it works just fine. Being able to charge my watch on there, it's just fine because I'm fortunate enough to have a compatible device to work with this charger.

Final Verdict

Play from here [5:47]

Anyways, the final verdict, let's talk about it. Is the Samsung Wireless Charger Trio worth it? I'm going to say no, it's not worth it for $70 (prices may change). It's not worth it for a slow and almost, I guess you could say, picky charger. It's not worth it. If you have the compatible devices, though, this thing is a convenience and here's the reason why I have it. The reason I have it is because I want to be able to take my wireless charger for my watch out for traveling, so I don't have to disconnect it from here. I know I can use my phone to charge my watch, but sometimes I want to use my phone.

I don't want to have to set it out (aside) and not be able to use it for some amount of time. At least I can carry out my watch charger now, and the Samsung Wireless Charger Trio will be my at-home thing for my desk. I'll just plop it on and charge all my other devices whenever I need to. I also am able to charge my buds and my phone at the same time. Before, I only had a single wireless charger, so I had to alternate sometimes, and sometimes I had to use the cable because I was using a wireless charger for the bud and the phone and stuff like that. But the main reason was just to have one thing at home to charge all my devices and then be able to pack other things for traveling without having to disconnect stuff and bring stuff with me when I'm traveling again.

But yeah, that's the main reason why I got it. It's the convenience that it provides. Do I use it every day? Most of the time, I usually use it overnight, not my phone if I'm using it, but I use it all the time for my Galaxy Buds Pro. I use them all the time for that. I never plug it in with the cable. I always wirelessly charge it and it's awesome. It's the same with the watch. I charge that all the time. That's the reason I got it. It's convenient. If you want something convenient and you don't care about the max charging speed or the cap charging speed and you have a compatible device with the watch, then get it. It's a convenient thing, and if you have the money to burn, get it.

It's a nice accessory. Otherwise, do not get it. I don't think the Samsung Wireless Charger Trio is worth it. $70 (prices may change) is a lot of money. $90 (prices may change) way too much money. $70 (prices may change) is still too much money for a slow, picky, incompatible charger. That's it. I hope you guys enjoyed it. leave a like if you got something out of this. Comment here if you have one, what do you think about it? Am I wrong? Do you agree or comment if you're planning to get one, and let me know what you think so yeah peace out
