Hello, everyone. If you looked up this super-expensive perfume that we're gonna talk about, you should know all the ins and outs of this Mason Francis Baccarat Rouge. I know if you're here and probably going through the same thing I just went through three weeks ago. I'm here to give you the UNCLEAR on the Baccarat Rouge 540. Is it everything everyone's leading up to? Is it worth the hype, or is it not? Before we get into it, please make sure you like the video, subscribe to my channel, and enable the notification bell, so we can get into the full review.

How I discovered it

I saw a review of this perfume, and it wasn't just this perfume alone. It was in a product video about "my favorites forever," and I really like this influencer. Her name is Shea Whitney. I trust her, and I purchased a lot of things she's told me were awesome or cute. Then, she brought up this perfume, and she was saying how there was so much hype around it, but it's really expensive. Then, she told me that her other go-to perfume was Coco Chanel Mademoiselle, and that this perfume was always her go-to, which is my go-to normally.

I'm not going to say it's not anymore. I still love Coco Chanel Mademoiselle. It's wonderful, elegant, sophisticated, and sweet, but it's young. I love it. Don't get me wrong. It's amazing. But, for you to like Coco Chanel Mademoiselle, you'd like, a certain scent. It's not really fruity. It's more like sophisticated floral, but not tropical. If you guys know the scent, it's iconic. Most people know the scent, especially if you're into perfumes. You either love it or you hate it. When she said she loved that and that this is her everyday perfume now and she's never smelled anything better, I was like, I have to try it.

Then, she also said that people would literally stop her to find out what perfume she was wearing. I was like, I want all of that. If I'm wearing perfume, I want to be wearing this expensive perfume where people are drawn to me. That's why I'm wearing perfume. I mean, am I wearing it for myself? Yes. Don't get me wrong. I want to love what it smells like, but when I'm wearing expensive perfume, like Coco Chanel Mademoiselle or Chanel N°5, definitely, Baccarat Rouge 540 is included because she's a pretty penny. I'm wearing it for a while. I want people to be wowed, and I want them to be like, oh my gosh, what are you wearing? I want it to be a conversation starter.

The Fragrance

Play from here [2:47]

I was like, the Baccarat Rouge 540 can't be that good, so I looked it up, and I saw how expensive it was. For the tiniest little bottle, it was around $350 (prices may change). So I said to myself, I'm not purchasing this perfume. I'm not doing it, so I didn't. But then, my beautiful mother surprised me for Christmas. Let's just talk about this fragrance, okay? It is so good, and the thing about this is it doesn't smell like anything else. When I say cotton candy, I don't want you to think super sweet and super sugary. It's definitely sugary, but not artificial sugar. Think like raw cane sugar, not artificial at all. It has that undertone of sophistication, like Coco Chanel Mademoiselle has, that you feel mature. You're mature, but you're not old.

Play from here [3:41]

You're sophisticated, you're elegant, you're sexy, it's a little sugary. That's the top note. That's right at the top, and then you have this under curve, which feels a little rich, but it also has this air that flows back and forth through it. That's the best way I can describe the Baccarat Rouge 540. It's like you smell it, and the scent is just, like, heavenly with the cotton candy, raw cane sugar smell, and then you go down into it, and it's like airy, like fresh, clean, but not like laundry. That's not what I mean by fresh clean. I mean, like, open air, and the bottom notes are the super rich, sophisticated amber note. it's just so yummy, and I love it so much. It is literally my favorite perfume now, and it is worth all the hype.

Unboxing

Play from here [4:44]

You have this box, which is pretty large for the size of the perfume bottle, and the print is in, like, gold foiled, and you can feel it, which just feels like luxury, and it is luxury, Maison Francis Paris Baccarat Rouge 540. You open it up, and then it comes in an elegant box, which reminds me of an Apple iPhone, like that kind of case, which already makes me think this is thousands of dollars. That's kind of the vibe. And again, with that gold foiled print and a very elegant writing that says the Maison Francis Paris, and then, the perfume. It comes out in a drawer, so I just couldn't throw it away, just not yet. It's all foiled back there too.

A worth addition to my dresser

Play from here [5:38]

It's really pretty. The Baccarat Rouge 540 just looks stunning on your dresser, not that you should pay around $350 (prices may change) for a perfume to look stunning on your dresser, but, I mean, it is a benefit. I love to display my perfumes, like, the Chanel bottle, iconic as well. I love these two next to each other. It's just like, people will come into my room and they'll be like, oh, my God, she has amazing perfumes. I don't know. I like perfumes, but this is amazing.

Quantity

The price is outrageous, and I think the large bottle of this is around $650 (prices may change), so we did not go there. I have a suspicion that this is going to last a long time. If you look at my Chanel bottle, I've had this for a little over a year, and I went through a little of it while using it every day, so it's going to last me a long time. The Baccarat Rouge 540 feels bigger. I don't know. The Coco Chanel Mademoiselle is 1.7 fluid ounces, and the Baccarat Rouge 540 is 2.4 fluid ounces, so this is going to last me quite a while.

What's nice about it

Play from here [6:38]

The scent is so long lasting. I just need one spray, put it on my pulse points, and it just smells so good. The other thing that's nice about this fragrance is it is unisex, which is different. My boyfriend came over on Christmas, and I got it that morning. He walked in, and he was like, oh, my God, you smell amazing. What are you wearing? I was like, I just got this perfume called Baccarat Rouge 540. He's like, it's so nice, though. It's feminine, but it could also be a cologne, and that's the thing about this. It goes with your body chemistry, and it brings out your aura.

Final Thoughts

It's really magical. It's totally worth the hype. People aren't lying. It's amazing. The only thing that I would say is, hopefully, it doesn't get too saturated. I still don't think so. I personally think Coco Chanel Mademoiselle is definitely an oversaturated perfume. Lots of people wear it. Lots of people like it. They know exactly what it smells like, but at the same time, it smells good. You get a vibe for that person as soon as they smell it. You know, when they're wearing this, they're classy, they're elegant, they're younger. N°5 to me, that scent is kind of like an older lady. I still love N°5. Don't get me wrong. It feels like rich gala. I'm the boss kind of vibe.

Coco Chanel Mademoiselle is more like I'm young. I'm a Mademoiselle. I'm in my late 20s to late 30s. That's just the vibe I get, but the Baccarat Rouge 540 you could wear this. Honestly, it's great for every day. It's going to get you those wow factors. It's great for going out because you're just going to allure people to you. They're just going to want to talk to you because you smell so good. They're just going to want to talk to you because they're like oh my God what is that? What is she wearing? It's just totally worth it. It's amazing. That's all I can say about this. It is definitely worth the purchase, and I'm so excited. This is my new signature scent, so you can come smell me if you want and you'll know what I'm wearing.

If you guys are perfume addicts and you think there are perfumes that could top this, put those down in the comments here, but I don't think so. I didn't think I'd ever find a perfume that could top Coco Chanel Mademoiselle. This has been my signature scent for five years. I've had this for very long. I've been through multiple bottles of this, and then, Baccarat Rouge 540 came along and stole my heart.
